PMP Industries has inaugurated a new advanced foundry in Laktaši, Republika Srpska, with a strategic €35 million investment aimed at strengthening its global growth plan. The new facility is unique in Europe for cast iron components, integrating the full process from raw material to finished product. This vertical approach, combined with cutting-edge automation, ensures the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
The Laktaši foundry plays a key role in PMP’s industrial strategy. By securing primary manufacturing processes locally, it will guarantee production continuity for the group’s headquarters in Coseano, Italy, where capacity is expected to double by 2028. This expansion responds to the increasing demand for innovative transmission systems in both European and North American markets. Founder and President Luigino Pozzo underlined how this investment is not just an industrial milestone but also part of a broader innovation roadmap designed to face the challenges of post-globalization. Building resilient supply chains, adopting advanced manufacturing technologies, and fostering international collaborations with universities and institutions are at the core of PMP’s approach. With this project, PMP Industries reinforces its role as a technology-driven company committed to sustainable development, positioning European manufacturing as a global benchmark for innovation and competitiveness.
