Four students from IIS "Il Tagliamento" in Spilimbergo have won scholarships for the "Il futuro è nei giovani award. The award designed by PMP Industries aims to support education in the field of mechanics and mechatronics.
The award ceremony, held in the institute's auditorium, was attended by school head teacher Lucia D'Andrea, coordinator of the Department of Mechanics Annarita Franco, and PMP Industries founder and president Luigino Pozzo. The competition, which awarded a total value of 1,000 euros, selected the best students, taking into consideration the school average and a technical motivational interview done by a judging committee composed of teachers Annarita Franco and Harry Durigon for the institute and Stefania Previtero and Cristian Tam for the company.
"Our commitment to the area's educational institutions is maximum," commented industrialist Pozzo, "and has been happening for years through support for specific courses, with the intervention of our experts in the classroom and with the purchase of machinery for the laboratories. We have now wanted to create an award, involving the granting of scholarships, to stimulate the students themselves, in this case from the Spilimbergo Institute, to put their talents into practice and pursue the highest academic results, knowing full well that this will bring both satisfaction to them and social and economic progress for our entire community."
