Reinvestment After Eight Years – PMP INDUSTRIES GROUP Italy Signs a New Project for Electric Transmission Systems for New Energy Applications with Changzhou High-Tech Zone
On September 23, the signing ceremony for the PMP Group New Energy Electric Drive Project was held at the Changzhou National High-Tech Zone. As a global leader in industrial transmission systems, the company is expanding its investment in Changzhou for the second time, eight years after its initial establishment in the zone in 2018. Wu Wenbo, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and Deputy District Mayor, attended the ceremony.
As part of this investment, PMP will establish a new intelligent manufacturing base in the High-Tech Zone, introducing electronic and hydraulic products and focusing on the research and development and production of electric transmission systems for new energy applications, planetary gearboxes, and high-end transmission system components.
The transition from traditional hydraulic solutions to a dual strategy based on electric and hydraulic solutions is fully aligned with the broader electrification and intelligent development of the construction machinery industry. The project will contribute to providing key powertrain components for the transition towards more sustainable solutions in construction machinery, material handling equipment, concrete mixers, and other related applications.
In recent years, the Group has accelerated its transition towards electric transmission systems for new energy applications. Its electric drive systems are now widely used worldwide in electric forklifts and electric towing vehicles.
The development of this electric transmission project stems both from the significant opportunities created by the electrification and intelligent transformation of China’s construction machinery industry and from the deep trust built through years of cooperation.
